El Monte, CA — American Reclamation helped sponsor and contributed resources to support the El Monte, CA Arbor Day celebration at Arceo Park on March 9, 2017. American Reclamation’s Sales & Marketing Manager Craig Doerr handed out reusable bags to El Monte public school students from the City’s elementary, middle and high school grades. The students showed up on busses around 9:00 am and were given Arbor Day related items from different conservancy groups, and Craig informed each student of the benefits of using reusable bags to cut down on pollution from plastic bags and how they saved trees by reducing the need for paper bags. Craig handed out recycling literature related to California state laws AB 341 & AB 1826 that promoted commercial recycling as well as promoting American Reclamation’s free wood chips program for interested residents(see below for more information) and the company’s various recycling and diversion programs on behalf of the City of El Monte. The students listened to a presentation from City officials and then were given shovels to help plant Deodar Cedar and Coast Redwood trees in Arceo Park.
